Incorporated into this facility are all functions of city government. Mayor’s Office, City Council Chambers, City Court, City Utilities, planning and engineering and Police Department. The Police Department side includes Interior and exterior secure evidence storage, sally port, training rooms, firing range, communications, records, storage, weapons, and office spaces. A large community room is also incorporated into the facility.

This 30,000 square foot facility on a 4.5 acre site coordinated and consolidated city government for the City of New Haven. Anticipating growth and the need for additional space, a second floor was part of the project but at the time of initial construction was unfinished space.

This project was an interesting combination of new construction and renovation of an old clothing manufacturing facility. This both saved money and permitted a large, more versatile facility.
