This new, 20,700 SF Welcome and Dining Center was rebuilt on the Camp Alexander Mack grounds in 2011. The project came about because the previous facility had been damaged by fire. MartinRiley worked to fast-track this project for the upcoming camp season. Design through construction for this $2.75 million project was completed in 8 months.
The new facility houses a large Lobby / Multipurpose Space, Staff Offices, Gift Shop, Meeting Rooms, Restrooms, a full Commercial Kitchen, a Dining Room that seats 200, and plenty of storage space. A few special features of this facility are: many operable windows (including clerestory windows) that take advantage of the southern exposure and aid natural ventilation; an attractive stone fireplace in the Lobby is a warm addition to the; mobile partitions for the Dining Room to allow for flexible seating arrangements; open loop geothermal heat pump system for low operational costs; in-floor radiant heat for superior comfort.
