John Dockrey is a passionate economic and community developer who has been dedicated to local and regional community enhancement since 2004.

John's extensive leadership and business experience includes: owning a nationwide mortgage brokerage firm, Chamber of Commerce - Executive Director, Director of Economic Development, two term Elected City Councilman, Advisory Board Member of Indiana Small Business Development Center, as well as, numerous other boards. John's proud to hold certificates for completing Ball State University's Community Development and Economic Development courses.

His commitment to helping reinvent his hometown after years of no new jobs, abandoned homes, empty buildings and all that comes with it is inspiring and has captured the attention of community leaders statewide. John's ability to recognize opportunities where others see problems is why he has been asked to sit on a number of boards from Economic Development to community organizations and major employers. John is a devoted husband of 28 years, father of 6 and a grandfather of 3.
